COURSE OBJECTIVE & COURSE DESCRIPTION

To present a broad understanding of the concepts of scheduling & Cost Control. Additionally, to present tools and techniques needed for the development and application of cost control, budgeting, and scheduling.

A key aspect of any project development is the control of the principle resources of money and time. To achieve effective control, one must have a plan, which acts as a benchmark against which to monitor and assess performance. The plan for cost management is a budget. The plan for time management is a schedule. This course will provide participants with a clear understanding of the purpose and application of cost control techniques/budgets and schedules, an overview of the tools for developing both and will also discuss the relationship between the two. These will be examined not only from the aspect of the project controller but from the various aspects of all stakeholders in a project.
